HEAD COACH & FOUNDER

CAMILA

Hi, I’m Coach Camila, founder of Tennis in the City!

I played Division I tennis at the University of Minnesota, was ranked No. 1 in South America, and competed in 30+ countries. Since then, I’ve coached 500+ players across Peru, the UK, and New York.

I created Tennis in the City to bring together great tennis, hard work, and a community of people who genuinely enjoy the game. You’re not just joining a lesson, you’re joining a group of people who want to improve, work hard, and have fun along the way.

I’d love to see you on the court.

COACH

DANIEL

Hi, I’m Coach Danie!

I’m originally from Los Angeles, where I started playing competitive tennis at seven years old and became highly ranked in Southern California throughout my junior career. I trained at Top Seed Tennis Academy in Calabasas and played for Harvard-Westlake, one of the best high school tennis programs in the country. I’ve also been fortunate to train at academies around the world, including Mouratoglou, Nick Saviano, and Sánchez-Casal, and continued to play tennis for fun at a high level while studying at Cornell University.

During the pandemic, I started working at Weddington Golf and Tennis as a private coach and hitting partner for high level adults and juniors. I quickly realized how much I loved working with players of all levels and sharing my passion for the game. Whether as a player, fan, or coach, tennis has given me some of my favorite memories and introduced me to incredible people along the way. I’m excited to join Tennis in the City and help continue building a community around the sport I love!

COACH

RYAN

Hi, I’m Coach Ryan!

I was born and raised in Malaysia, where I picked up my first tennis racket at the age of 10. I started playing competitively throughout my primary school years and had the opportunity to compete at the state level before taking a break to explore other interests and ventures.

When I was in college, I found my way back to tennis and spent some time playing for the Roehampton University Tennis Team in London. During that time, I also had the chance to train with some great coaches and continue developing my game both on and off the court.

Now based in NYC, I’m excited to be joining Tennis In The City! I’m looking forward to meeting the community, sharing my passion for tennis, and helping players enjoy the game while continuing to improve their skills.

WANTO TO BE A TENNIS IN THE CITY COACH?

We’re always looking for passionate coaches who love tennis, people, and the energy of NYC.

Join a team that believes great coaching is about more than technique, it’s about helping people improve, have fun, and feel part of something.
